Classic Buttermilk Waffles

my week-long craving for waffles has yet to be satisfied. eggo waffles don’t count. is it lame to go to wally waffle by yourself on a thursday afternoon? yes? well i care less and less as the time that passes and the waffles that i consume continue to have an inverse relationship.

So tonight my best friends from high school and I reunited and had dinner in Little Italy and adventured around Cleveland and stuff, and it was so great. It’s these times when I realize how fortunate I am to still have a group of people from high school that I’m so close to. Sure, we don’t talk all the time, and aren’t that close in the sense that my college friends and I are close, and all of our lives are going in different directions, but the fact that we still make time to get together when we’re all back home is great. We’ve all changed and grown and are much different girls from the girls we were in high school, but we still love and accept each other, and being together feels like home. I think these are the girls who will be here the rest of my life, even if they’re hundreds of miles away, and I’m so excited to see what the future has in store for all of us.

A ban on niqabs in France or mini-skirts in Uganda, or warped legislation on reproductive rights in the U.S. — all these efforts tell women that our bodies are not our own.
